 Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF)


(CCHF) is a viral disease transmitted to human from ticks or through contact with the blood or tissues of infected animals.




Pakistan unfortunately faced sporadic outbreak of CCHF in various regions. The virus particularly concerning due to its potentially fatal consequences, including severe bleeding, organ failure, and a high mortality rate. 


Efforts to  control the spread of the virus in Pakistan have included measures such as public awareness campaigns about the importance the avoiding contact with infected animals, using protective clothing when handling potentially infected animals or animal products, and employing effective tick-control strategies. Additionally, health-care, professionals have been encourage the practice stringent infection control measures to prevent nosocomial transmission.


Further more research in the development of effective vaccines and treatment has been ongoing to the combat the threat posed by the virus. The challenges of outbreak managing of CCHF  highlight the importance of comprehensive approach that includes both measures preventive and prompt, effective treatment for those who have been regular infected monitoring, surveillance, and swift response mechanism are crucial to mitigate the impact of this dangerous virus on  human health.
